Wish you Washed?

This is a personal exposure that I can vouch for.
I used to be scared to poison my family with dishwasher soap, so I would wash dishes for a long time. I also wanted it to be perfect. To get rid of it, here is what you should do:
List 10-20 items that get washed in your sink. Time yourself for each plate, cup and fork you wash. Write it all down on a chart (Googe Sheets) and the have someone who knows how to wash dishes that doesn't have OCD do the same thing. Compare numbers. Chances are the other person will take 1/2 the time that you do, or worse. For example, if it takes you 30 seconds to wash a spoon and it takes your sister 7 seconds, make a line like the following:
Step 1: 25 seconds to wash spoon
Step 2: 20 seconds to wash spoon
Step 3: 15 seconds to wash spoon
Step 4: 10 seconds to wash spoon
Step 5: 7 seconds to wash spoon
Once you set goals for all the dishes, try to do a total of 3-5 minutes total of washing a day. Add up how many bowls and cups in the sink there are. Then time yourself and make sure not to exceed the alloted time limit!
Note: Dishwasher soap is actually edible, as long as you don't drink the whole bottle :)
