If you feel the need to do a compulsion, it is helpful to wait. At least 2 seconds. Once you get good at that, 5 seconds. Then 10 seconds, etc. Just wait at least a tiny bit before doing our compulsion. Once you wait the alloted time, just do it! It's OK! It really slows down the OCD.
